Retrofit

         In order to overcome obsolescence issue, and provide increase reliability and availability, a retrofit control system has been developed in order to allow along term support of the control system. The retrofit require replacement of the existing control system with a new control system.

Life of any electronic module / component after years in a harsh conditions such as a marine environment may not be reliable while other parts like mechanical, hydraulic and electro pneumatic parts may be give good service for the rest of the vessel life. Most of the OEM may not support if equipment is over 10 years and OEM software are always password protected.

Retrofit & Conversion Services

When we do redesigning / retrofitting of control system, we are maintaining existing controls logic, operation sequence, field devices and its cabling, mechanical parts of the original system and hence system performance will remain unchanged. We are installing a new Programmable Fieldbus Controller belonging to the robust WAGO 750 series controller/750 XTR Controller System, which has most of the marine class approvals.

Retrofit Development of Indigenous Marine Products

We have developed in house capabilities to provide complete solutions to the customer right from system design to building the system and its final commissioning. Most of the products which we have developed are equivalent to replace obsolete spares. Availability of required spares brings the vessels down time to minimum with minimum repair charge. This is advantageous because in absence of required spares major replacement of old system with new system leads to extra down time and money.

 

From our past twenty year experience in various marine controls, it is observed that most of the mechanical gear boxes / assembly remain in working condition for years together, but electronic controls often give trouble after eight to ten years. Most of the time OEM agents recommend the complete replacement of the system at an exorbitant price with longer lead time. That is where ACSPL can come in to replace only the control component thus optimizing time and cost.
